The import and export of Nantong from January to May increased by 14.5% year-on-year

Data from Nantong Customs shows that from January to May, the total foreign trade import and export of Nantong is 165.52 billion yuan, ranking 4th in Jiangsu, and there is a year-on-year growth of 14.5%. The growth rate keeps leading in Jiangsu. Among them, the export value is 109.9 billion yuan, and there is a year-on-year increase of 19.3%; the import value is 55.62 billion yuan, and there is a year-on-year increase of 6.1%.
In terms of export market, imports and exports to ASEAN, EU, and other countries and regions increased significantly. In the first five months, Nantong’s imports and exports to ASEAN, EU and the Middle East are 25.2 billion yuan, 24.28 billion yuan and 16.18 billion yuan respectively, and the increase rates are 25.6%, 19.8% and 17.5% respectively.
In terms of major export goods, exports of traditional products such as ships, electrical equipment, and integrated circuits have increased significantly. In the first 5 months, the export of Nantong mechanical and electrical products is 61.66 billion yuan, and there is an increase of 35.4%. Among them, the exports of ships, electrical equipment and integrated circuits increased by 142.5%, 146.1% and 31.7% respectively.
